170th Defence Pension Adalat was organized by PCDA (Pension) Allahabad, under the aegis of Controller General of Defence Accounts, New Delhi on 23rd August 2019 at Paonta Sahib (H.P.). Chief Guest on the occasion, Shri Kalraj Mishra, Hon’ble Governor of Himachal Pradesh in his inaugural address paid rich tributes to the services rendered by Ex-servicemen during their active service. He lauded various efforts being made by DAD and PCDA (Pension) for initiating Pension Adalats and also for their active participation to increase satisfaction level among Ex-Servicemen. He advised all veterans to take fullest benefit of the Adalat. Shri Sanjiv Mittal, CGDA thanked Hon’ble Governor, Himachal Pradesh for gracing the occasion and said that the aim of such Adalats is to take the grievance redressal mechanism and the authorities associated with it to the doorstep of the defence pensioners to resolve the pension related grievances on the spot and also to educate them about government orders. He also highlighted about the complexities involved in the defence pensions. The dignitaries present on the occasion were Shri Visvajit Sahay, IDAS, PCDA (Pension) Allahabad, Maj. Gen. Sanjeev Chowdhary, GOC, HQ PH&HP (I) Sub-Area, Smt. Vibha Sood, ADG (AG Coord) AG Branch, New Delhi, Shri A k Pradyot, IDAS, CFA(Fys) Dehradun, Shri T K Jajoria, IDAS, CDA (PD) Meerut, Brig. S.K Verma (Retd.), Secretary, Rajya Sainik Board, Government of Himachal Pradesh, and various officials from service Head Quarters DAD and other civil authorities.
